Andrea Fager joined the center staff in September 2023 and serves with Green Iowa AmeriCorps until August 2024. She grew up in a small town in central Illinois. Andrea graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and a minor in sustainability. Prior to her service with AmeriCorps, she worked with a handful of landscape architecture firms and landscape nurseries. 

About her career goals, Andrea says: 

“I have a great passion for working with and learning about the ecosystems around me. I want to gain more knowledge in general and specific native ecosystems and maintenance processes. I am hoping to use this experience to allow me to follow a career into ecological reconstruction and wetland delineation.”
