Sean Thompson joined the Tallgrass Prairie Center in 2023 and works on communications projects for Iowa Roadside Management, including revising the Integrated Roadside Vegetation Management Technical Manual. He is a master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Northern Iowa. Sean previously worked as a newspaper journalist, political campaign organizer, and most recently as a communications specialist for the Iowa Reading Research Center at the University of Iowa. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and English from the University of Iowa. In his free time, Sean enjoys running, photography, attending sporting events and live music shows, and listening to podcasts.
