Association for Integrated Roadside Management winter meeting

Winter roadside picture

The Association for Integrated Roadside Management in Iowa (A.F.I.R.M. Iowa) supports the integrated approach to roadside vegetation management by:

a) Promoting integrated roadside vegetation management for all Iowa roadsides.

b) Collecting and disseminating information about best roadside management practices.

c) Cooperating with organizations interested in integrated roadside vegetation management.

AFIRM also promotes the professional development of roadside vegetation management personnel. Every winter, the association has a winter meeting in Ames in which topics of interest to roadside vegetation managers are addressed. In 2021, the meeting is scheduled to be held March 3rd from 9am to 2pm at the Gateway Conference Center in Ames. We will notify the usual meeting attendees and update this page if there are any changes to the meeting because of COVID-19 precautions.

A separate meeting, the Invasive Species Conference, is scheduled to be held immediately after the winter meeting from March 4th-5th at the Gateway Conference Center. It is hosted by the Iowa Weed Commissioners' Association.
